This first improv workshop of our two workshop program provides the student with the framework necessary for successful improvisation. Improv Foundations focuses on the basic fundamentals of improv which are rooted in solid acting technique, story telling and character development. Each week students will be taught specific principles and will then have the opportunity to apply them by creating improvised scenes together as a class. Scene deconstruction and one-on-one assessment are also key components of each session.
By the end of this workshop each student will have a practical working knowledge of what is needed to perform consistently successful improv as well as the confidence to do so. This workshop meets for two hours once a week for four weeks. Once completed students will be eligible to enroll in the Improv Performance workshop. To register please call or email us.
All students will have free admission to any Madcap show during the four week session.
